Ilfracombe Victorian Celebration was conceived and supported by the Ilfracombe Hotels in the mid 1980s as an attraction for visitors in the gap between the schools Spring (Whit) and Summer Holidays.  As the Coach companies’ influence increased, the support of the hotels reduced and the quality of the Victorian Week declined.  Only the hard work of a dedicated band of committee members, with the support of a few local businesses, kept the event alive.  After the 2015 event, the committee took the major decision to appoint an artistic director in a bid to improve the quality of the offering to the public; a few more “workers” were inveigled onto the committee and the planning for 2016 began.

Now after a successful 2016, we are planning the events for our 30th Celebrations in 2017.

Please come into Ilfracombe June 10th to 18th.  There is something on the bill to suit all tastes.

Please remember, we are a totally non profit making organisation, and are pleased to help other fund raisers.

Thank you for supporting us.
